Simply insert the trekking pole tip into the jack to gain the additional inches needed for a taut, well-pitched setup. Its minimal form factor allows it to be stowed easily in a tent stakes bag or hip belt pocket without adding meaningful weight to your kit. Note that rubber pole tips must be removed before use.
