Mountain Hardware's Broad Spectrum

by Gene Han

The sun hits different these days.

Longer summers, hotter days, and higher UV exposure have made sun protection less of a niche outdoor concern and more of an everyday consideration. Whether you're on trail, at the beach, or just moving through the city, protecting your skin matters.

For this lookbook, we took Mountain Hardwear's Broad Spectrum collection out of the mountains and into Brooklyn.

Featured here are the Crater Lake Short Sleeve, Sunblocker Short Sleeve, Shade Lite Sun Cape, and Stryder Pant. Pieces designed with UPF 50+ protection, moisture-wicking fabrics, and lightweight breathable construction that make them just as comfortable for daily wear as they are for long days outside. The Crater Lake also features Broad Spectrum protection that helps filter both UVA and UVB rays, plus plant-based odor control for all-day wear.

What we appreciate most is that none of it looks overly technical. The collection feels at home on a Brooklyn sidewalk, a summer commute, a weekend hike, or anywhere in between.

Protection from the sun doesn't have to look like sun protection.
