July 9th and 10th: Merrell x P.A.M "Urban Amphibious" Launch Party at WeekEnds Chengdu

This summer, PAM ( Perks And Mini) and Merrell launched an urban experiment on mobility, adaptation and exploration in Chengdu with the theme of Urban Amphibious (urban amphibious). As a co-presenter of this event, WeekEnds brings the brand's imagination of the “amphibious” lifestyle into real-world scenarios, reconnecting cities and nature through products, spaces, and experiences.

Join us at Gong on 7/9 and WeekEnds Chengdu on 7/10 as we celebrate the collaboration launch of Merrell x Perks and Mini (P.A.M.)

This collaboration centers around two pairs of shoes: the Hydro Next Gen Moc and the Cham Storm GTX. PAM Drawing inspiration from the skin texture, color changes, and environmental adaptability of amphibians and reptiles such as frogs, chameleons, and snakes, Merrell transforms natural language into shoe design and visual expression; Merrell continues its outdoor functional genes, allowing its products to combine adaptability to both aquatic and terrestrial environments with urban wearing experience.

Focusing on this collaboration, the creative team NO TEXT Azienda created a new visual project to reshape the body into the outline of shoes through body painting, responding to the fluidity and vitality emphasized by Urban Amphibious with a constantly changing and reorganized body shape.

To further showcase this concept, WeekEnds will be bringing two special Urban Amphibious experiences in different formats to Chengdu.

The event will be held at Gonggong on July 9th. The scene will revolve around PAM × Merrell's visual worldview creates immersive spaces, using images, installations, and lighting to create a sensory experience that lies between the city and nature. Gooooose & Xu Zhitang (Live), Cvalda (Live), Nighttrain2000, Komatsu and KnuCuz will jointly present a full-night music performance, opening the first chapter of Urban Amphibious with sound, light and shadow.

On July 10, the event will move to the WeekEnds slow-flash space at MEWS on Lukak Island. In addition to the joint shoe display and specially planned amphibious theme experience, participants will also wear this joint shoe for a water experience under the guidance of professional yoga teachers and paddleboard instructors, extending Urban Amphibious from concept to real environment and returning the product to the usage scenario in which it was born.

For PAM, Merrell, and WeekEnds, Urban Amphibious represents not only a product language but also a way of life——freely switching between city and nature, exploring in a constantly changing environment, and constantly finding your own rhythm.

WeekEnds invites everyone to enter the world of Urban Amphibious and experience an urban amphibious experiment about flow, transformation, and exploration.

We'll be serving beer alongside a selection of drinks and food throughout the evening.
